First-use guide
Everything to know before your first session with the SENTWAY Reset Cup (model DS-A23). It takes about five minutes to read, and it's worth reading before you start.
What it is, and what it isn't
The Reset Cup combines adjustable suction at the skin surface with warming heat, for a short, focused comfort ritual at home. We don't claim it treats, cures or prevents anything, and it isn't a substitute for massage therapy, physiotherapy or medical care.
Before your first session
- Charge it fully through the USB-C port (5V/2A input).
- Pick an area you can comfortably reach and see, such as the top of your shoulder, your upper arm or your thigh.
- Make sure the skin there is clean, dry and intact.
Your first session
- Place the cup flat against your skin and switch it on.
- Set suction and heat to level 1, in steady mode.
- Sit back. Go up one level at a time, and only if it feels comfortable.
- Press release/pause whenever you want to lift the suction. The device switches itself off after 20 minutes.
Keep your first sessions gentler than you think you need. There's no prize for the highest setting.
What marks can look like
Cupping commonly leaves round red, pink or darker marks where the cup sat. They usually fade within about one to two weeks. They aren't toxins leaving your body, and they aren't proof that anything is working. Higher suction and longer sessions generally make marks more likely, so if you'd rather avoid visible marks before an event, keep the settings low or choose a different area.
Heat
Heat runs across 12 levels, from about 38°C to 50°C (100–122°F). It should always feel warm, never hot. If it stings or feels hot, stop and let your skin cool.
Where not to use it
- Broken, irritated, sunburned, infected or recently injured skin
- Areas with reduced feeling or numbness
- Your face or the front of your neck
- Anywhere the printed instructions advise against
Check with a clinician before using it if
- You're pregnant
- You take blood-thinning medication, or have a bleeding or clotting condition
- You have a pacemaker or another implanted electronic device
- You have heart or circulation disease, anemia, or a seizure disorder
- You have a skin condition such as eczema or psoriasis
When to stop
Stop straight away if you feel pain, burning, numbness or dizziness, or if you see blistering. If a reaction doesn't settle, see a healthcare professional.
Cleaning and sharing
Follow the cleaning steps in the printed instructions. If more than one person uses the device, clean it between users.
